Celebrating the space between imagination & creation
Liminals Studio is a small creative practice devoted to the art of making things slowly. In a world that often prioritizes speed and scale, Liminals Studio celebrates patience, play, and the quiet satisfaction of making something by hand.
The studio's work is rooted in a love of whimsy. Each piece is created to spark delight, invite imagination, and bring a little enchantment into everyday spaces. At its heart, Liminals Studio is an exploration of what happens when care, creativity, and craftsmanship meet. It is an invitation to linger in and appreciate the beauty of handmade objects and the stories they carry with them.
Meet the Maker
I'm Sasha, the artist and maker behind Liminals Studio. I owe my creative practice to my grandmother Vailya, a gifted maker herself, who taught me to use a needle and thread at the ripe age of eight.
Although those early lessons remained dormant for many years, I rediscovered the craft while attending the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, where I incorporated embroidery into a college project. What began as a single creative exploration evolved into an ongoing artistic practice.
Today, every piece created at Liminals Studio is uniquely designed and crafted. I am drawn to the process of transforming an idea into a tangible object. Through careful craftsmanship, I create pieces that celebrate the enduring value of play and making by hand.
